Essential and functional storage first.

Cookies and similar technologies can include traditional cookies, local storage, session storage, access tokens, pixels, SDKs and comparable browser or device identifiers. This policy explains how those technologies are used or may be introduced.

Short lived information for a smoother flow.

Session storage may be used to carry temporary information between pages during the same browser session. For example, the website may briefly remember a first name after a successful enquiry so the Thank You page can personalise the confirmation and then remove that value.

Session storage normally disappears when the browser session ends, although browser behaviour can vary.

Preferences and access can persist on your device.

Local storage may be used to remember newsletter invitation status, dismissal preferences, whether an invitation has already been seen, and access tokens for subscriber or gated publication content.

Local storage remains on the device until it expires through application logic, is replaced, or is cleared by the user or browser. Anyone with access to the same browser profile may be able to use information stored there.

Diagnostic submissions are not advertising cookies.

The Commercial Scorecard and research submission process may use technical identifiers, server logs and browser state required to deliver the feature, protect submissions and prevent abuse. CommExcellence does not need to place behavioural advertising cookies merely because a person completes a Scorecard.

If research quality controls later use additional identifiers for duplicate detection, fraud prevention or longitudinal participation, the relevant notice will be updated and any required consent will be obtained.

Subscription state may be remembered.

Browser storage may remember that a newsletter invitation was dismissed, seen or successfully completed so the same prompt is not shown unnecessarily. Subscription and confirmation records are also maintained on the service side for delivery and compliance purposes.

Publication access tokens stored in the browser should be treated like access credentials and should not be shared publicly.

Optional measurement requires a separate decision.

The current public build does not intentionally rely on common third party advertising pixels or major behavioural analytics tags as a condition of basic use. If optional analytics is introduced, CommExcellence will assess whether consent is required and will provide an appropriate control before non essential tracking is activated where required.

Aggregate server side operational metrics may still be used for security, reliability and service performance where they do not depend on optional advertising tracking.

Partner placements do not receive a tracking free pass.

CommExcellence may display clearly labelled sponsored or partner content. That does not by itself permit an advertiser to place tracking technology on a visitor device or receive identifiable browsing data.

If advertising measurement, conversion pixels, retargeting, profiling or cross site tracking is introduced, CommExcellence will update this policy, identify the relevant providers and purposes, and implement consent or objection controls where required by applicable law.

CXC and crypto checkout may require essential functional storage.

Essential browser or service-side storage may be used for authentication, CXC balance display, purchase-session continuity, selected crypto asset or network, payment status, redemption continuity, fraud prevention, security and user preferences.

A crypto payment provider may use its own essential cookies or storage to create and verify the payment transaction. Optional analytics or advertising technologies remain separate and are subject to the applicable consent rules.

Some providers process technical information.

Hosting, database, email, security, publication access or AI service providers may receive technical information needed to provide their services. Their own technologies and privacy terms may also apply when you interact directly with them or with embedded third party content.

CommExcellence should avoid loading non essential third party tracking before the required consent choice has been made.

You can manage browser storage.

You can clear or block cookies, local storage and site data through your browser settings. Blocking essential storage can prevent publication access, remembered preferences, security controls or other requested features from working correctly.

Where CommExcellence introduces a consent manager for optional technologies, changing that preference should be possible without withdrawing access to essential website functions.

Tracking rules follow the technology actually in use.

Storage duration varies by purpose. Session values are intended to be short lived; functional local storage may persist until cleared or until the application expires it; server records follow the retention rules described in the Privacy Policy.
